My name is Branda! I’m currently incarcerated at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility in Oregon. I’ve been charged with manslaughter in the second degree against my abuser. The shortest version of the very complicated story, I had to save my life and my children’s lives and that’s what landed me where I am today. You could look up the articles, but they will only tell you a pinch of the horror and the truth I’ve lived through. I’ve been locked up for three years and still have three years left to serve. I am ready to put myself out there and ready to trust that not every relationship will be abusive like the one I was stuck in.
